This is a half mile stretch of the River Avon in Amesbury that is noted for its specimen Grayling fishing and is one of the few places on the Avon above Salisbury where Coarse fishing is permitted. The stretch is popular as a winter trotting venue where there is a real chance of catching a 2lb Grayling.
Coarse and Game fishing is available on both banks of the main river and the side stream. Although predominantly a Grayling and Brown Trout fishery there are also Dace and Roach present too.
Day tickets are available from Hill’s Cycles in Amesbury.
