River Avon Town Water and Parsonage Farm
Salisbury.
Three miles of fishing within the City boundary taking you up stream into the
countryside. An excellent mixed fishery holding grayling, roach, dace, chub and
trout. Practical for fly fishing.
River Avon Durrington
Half a mile of the Upper Avon, providing upstream dry fly fishing
for trout and grayling. The water is jointly managed and stocked by the S&DAC
and Durrington Parish Council. Grayling fishing continues
up to and including 31st December.
River Avon at Lords Walk Amesbury.
Half a mile of main river and carrier holding good roach, dace and grayling with
the bonus of a good head of wild trout. Can be fished on the fly or using coarse
fishing methods.
River Nadder, Salisbury.
Two miles of coarse fishing, only 10 minutes from the Salisbury Railway Station
but in the heart of the countryside with ‘Constable’ views of the
Cathedral and surrounding water meadows. All species are in evidence with roach,
chub, perch, dace, grayling and specimen Pike. Also practical for fly fishing.

River Avon, Burgate.
One mile of very broad meandering river, 10 miles south of Salisbury off the
main A338 Bournemouth Road near Fordingbidge at Burgate Game Conservancy. Game
and coarse fishing of the highest quality makes this a superb fishery in pleasant
surroundings. Varieties of fish include quality Roach, Chub to 6lb, grayling,
trout, double figure barbel & bream. Sea trout and salmon also run this river.
River Avon, Charford.
One mile of Hampshire Avon 7 miles south of Salisbury offering coarse and game
fishing with the opportunity of sea trout and salmon at the appropriate time.
River Stour, Dorset.
A river with different characteristics to the Avon. Four adjoining fisheries
on the renowned Dorset Stour situated at Wimborne offering quality roach, dace,
chub, barbel, perch and pike fishing.
Petersfinger Lakes.
A Club owned fishery set in un-spoilt countryside 2 miles to the
South East of Salisbury bounded by the River Avon with excellent
carp, tench, roach, bream, perch and pike fishing.
Steeple Langford Lakes.
Situated 10 miles West of Salisbury these lakes contain Specimen
Carp of over 30 lb. and trench, bream, perch, roach and pike.
East Wellow Lakes Fishery. An all year round fishery off
the road between Whiteparish and Salisbury
Two Lakes – Nightingale and Dandys hold good tench up to
3 lb and carp into double figures. A great secluded peaceful fishery
which always produces through the season. An excellent fishery
for youngsters where they will get hooked!
Waldens Farm Lakes Fishery at Grimstead off A36 5 miles
south of Salisbury.
A good commercial coarse fishery at which Club Members can fish.
The five lakes hold many species of coarse fish including a ‘predator
lake’ and a ‘match loop’.
Witherington Farm Lakes Fishery. 4 Miles south
of Salisbury off A 36 on road between Alderbury and Downton.. The
Club has an agreement to take a maximum of 4 members a day on a
first come first served basis. The fishery consists of a series
of small lakes holding tench, carp and bream. These lakes
are regularly used for matches.
